Ted Laufik
CFO and Partner
Ted, based in Cleveland, OH, joined Morgenthaler in 1985 as the Chief Financial Officer and became a Partner in 1995. In addition to his CFO duties, Ted manages internal and external reporting and investors relations. He is responsible for the firm’s administration and manages the liquidation of public portfolio companies. He provides support to many of the portfolio companies. He is a member of the NVCA (National Venture Capital Association) CFO Task Force and has presented at numerous conferences on the topics of the administration and management of private equity firms. From 1981 to 1985, Ted was the Chief Financial Officer of a regional real estate development firm where he was responsible for project financing including partnership syndications, construction and property management. From 1976 to 1981, he was a Manager with the international public accounting firm Touche Ross & Co. (now Deloitte & Touche). He holds a BBA in Accounting and an MBA from Cleveland State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.
