Peter Taft
Partner
Peter, based in Cleveland, OH, joined Morgenthaler in 1987. As Partner, he focuses on management buyouts, build-ups and recapitalizations of high-value manufacturing and business services. He has been actively involved in many of the firm’s management buyout and leveraged build-up investments – Cambridge International, Gatan International (acquired by Roper Industries), GED Integrated Solutions, American Paper Group, Software House (acquired by Sensormatic Electronics), Magma Copper, Dispatch Communications (acquired by NEXTEL Communications), and ProAir Services (acquired by Service Experts). He currently serves on the Board of Affinity Specialty Apparel, Avtron, Comm-Works and Formed Fiber Technologies.
From 1982 to 1985 he worked in the investment banking group of McDonald & Company Securities (now KeyBanc Capital Markets), where he concentrated on mergers and acquisitions. Peter received a BA from Amherst College in 1982 and an MBA from the Harvard Business School in 1987.
