Juan-Pablo joined Morgenthaler Ventures Life Science Team in 2010 from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Juan-Pablo is based in Palo Alto, CA and focuses on investments in the medical device and digital health sectors. He is a Board observer at Holaira (formerly IPS), Twelve, Cabochon Aesthetics, Miramar Labs, and The Foundry.
Prior to business school, Juan-Pablo worked at Medtronic in the Cardiovascular Division. There he led efforts in Pipeline Strategic Marketing, White-Spaces Ventures, R&D on the New Technologies Team, and M&A start-up integration. He was named “Medtronic Inventor of The Year” in 2008, and has 30+ patents, granted or pending. Additional experiences include Global Commercialization of Effient on the Brand Strategy Team at Eli Lilly & Co., Systems Engineer in Stanford Hospital’s Neurology Dept., and Consultant to various early stage medical device and digital health companies.
